Firefox et Thunderbird inopérationnels après MAJ (Résolu)

Bonjour,

je suis sous UBUNTU 14.04.5 ,après une MAJ faite le 6/5/17 (noyau 3.13.0.117) Firefox et Thunderbird ne fonctionne plus. j'ai les deux rapports de crash concernant ces deux logiciels que voici:
j'ai désinstallé et réinstallé Firefox sans succès, j'ai cherché des informations sur internet pour me dépanner moi-même mais je ne trouve pas de solution!

essayer sans modules complémentaires : Aide -> Redémarrer avec les modules désactivés
essayer en mode sans échec

j'ai le message d' erreur: GDK_BACKEND does not available displays
je ne sais pas trop ce que cela signifie!

Peux tu nous donner les retours de :

cat /etc/apt/sources.list
ls /etc/apt/sources.list.d -1

entre balises code surtout (sinon c'est illisible)

Bam ! tu as le PPA nilarimogard, il contient plein de truc bidouillés, limite proposed.

Le mieux est de le virer proprement avec les paquets qu'il a installé.

sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8

Par ailleurs pepper-flash est en principe devenu inutile puisque adobe a remis à jour flash pour linux.
Perso je le virerai :

sudo ppa-purge ppa:skunk/pepper-flash

Enfin, il est préférable d'utiliser les serveurs France à un serveur spécifique :
Passe un

software-properties-gtk

Et remets le serveur à serveur France.

Puis un nettoyage :

sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get full-upgrade

Pour s'assurer de flash :

sudo apt-get install --reinstall adobe-flashplugin

Si FF et TB restent rétifs
tente un :

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firefox
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove thunderbird
sudo apt-get install firefox
sudo apt-get install thunderbird

la commande suivante a échoué: software-properties-gtk
j'ai décoché skunk pepper flash dans paramètres système et Logiciels & MAJ car en ligne de commande, il ne trouvait pas
comment mettre le serveur à serveur France?
j'ai exécuté toutes les autres commandes : mais firefox et Thundirbird ne fonctionne toujours pas même après une désinstallation puis réinstallation

Pas normal que la commande échoue.
Tu es sur Ubuntu ou Kubuntu ?
donne :

echo $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP
echo $GDMSESSION

Sinon tu peux y accéder graphiquement : https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/software-properties
Tu verras d'ailleurs sur ce lien le serveur France.

Pour FF on va tenter un :

sudo mv ~/.mozilla ~/.mozilla.old

Puis donne le retour de :

firefox

je crois que je viens de faire une grosse bêtise!
avant d' exécuter les lignes de commandes que tu vous m'avez suggérées, j' ai voulu sauvegarder mon home dur un DVD avec cette commande: sudo -apv /home /media/CDROM, j'ai rempli pratiquement mon disque dur et depuis j'ai un écran noir en mode graphique!

Arf ! où as tu déniché cette commande ? Même avec man je ne trouve pas ce qu'elle fait !
et je ne vois pas le rapport avec mes indications !

Que se passe t'il quand tu fais un ctrl - alt - F1 ou F2 ou F3... depuis ton écran noir ?

Oui, si tu n'avais pas un support externe monté en tant que CDROM sous /media/,
ta commande

sudo cp -apv /home /media/CDROM

a créé sur ton disque interne le répertoire CDROM sous /media/,
et y a copié /home/ jusqu'à ce que,
soit la copie soit terminée,
soit la partition / soit pleine.

je ne maîtrise pas trop les commandes en ligne: j' ai encore beaucoup à apprendre. C'est sans doute moi qui a crée ce répertoire CDROM: dites-moi quelle commande il faut faire pour effacer ce que j'ai écrit dans CDROM
C'est une commande rm je suppose? Mais j'ai peur de faire une bêtise. merci Une fois que j'aurai fait celà je changerai le thème.

je viens d'effacer ce que j'avais sous /media/CDROM , retour à la case départ: Firefox et Thunderbird refusant de se lancer.
j'ai chargé un thème "numix-gtk-theme" puis pour sélectionner le thème avec l'application Unity Tweak Tool, j'ai cliqué sur la Logithèque qui a refusé de se lancer (crash)
Que dois faire? merci encore pour ton aide;
