SMART error (OfflineUncorrectableSector) detected // faux positif ?

Bonjour à tous,

Mon disque dur externe de sauvegardes me notifie depuis plus deux mois les deux erreurs SMART. Je n'ai eu aucune erreur pendant une semaine (environ) après son achat d'occasion.

  1. OfflineUncorrectableSector : toujours présente à ce jour

  1. CurrentPendingSector : je ne reçois plus cette notification depuis une semaine, date à laquelle j'ai tenté mes dernières analyses

Il y a une semaine:

  • le long-test smart plantait à 10% avec l'outil du constructeur Western Digital depuis un PC windows 10

  • j'ai fait un formatage bas niveau avec l'outil du constructeur Western Digital  depuis un PC windows 10

  • le long-test smart s'est mis à remarcher, y compris avec GSmartControl ==> aucune erreur détectée

  • j'ai lancé "sudo badblocks -wvs /dev/sdh" pendant 3 cycles lecture/écriture (80h) ==> aucune erreur détectée

  • j'ai relancé long-test smart ==> aucune erreur détectée

  • j'ai relancé une vérification depuis gparted ==> aucune erreur détectée

  • j'ai lancé mes sauvegardes (1,5Tb sur les 2Tb du disque)  ==> aucune erreur détectée

  • j'ai relancé long-test smart ==> aucune erreur détectée

  • j'ai lancé "sudo dd if=/dev/urandom > ./fichieroccupanttoutlespacelibre" (0,5Tb) ==> aucune erreur détectée à la lecture/écriture/suppression du fichier

Je désespère de comprendre ce qu'il se passe. Est-ce que quelqu'un aurait une idée ? Est-ce un faux positif ? Si oui, comment corriger ?

Perso je changerai de disque (aussi je n'achèterai jamais un disque d'occasion en premier lieu !). J'veux dire le disque il a 4 ans. Au bout de 5 ans faut sérieusement commencer à se méfier des disques durs, et si en plus il donne des erreurs smart (en 1 et 200), ça ne sent pas bon. Si un jour t'as besoin d'utiliser ton disque de sauvegarde pour restaurer tes données et que tu te rends compte qu'elles sont corrompues ça ne va pas le faire.

Pour info les WD Purple c'est des disques pour des données de surveillance (caméras). Ils ne sont pas très chers mais en même temps tu peux pas vraiment compter dessus pour des trucs précieux. Car ils sont optimisés pour l'écriture, et pas se prendre la tête longtemps en cas d'erreur. Donc pour un pixel de caméra de surveillance c'est pas grave, mais pour ton fichier precious.png ça l'est un peu plus.

Pour finir, si tu veux une vraie sauvegarde il te faut aussi un 3ème disque, stocké ailleurs que chez toi wink

Merci Vobul.

1- Je ne comprends pas pourquoi les tests ne remontent pas d'erreurs. Ceci dit, j'ai lancé un "sudo fsck -f -c -v -C0 /dev/sdh1" qui reste bloqué à 1.82% depuis plusieurs heures ;-)
2- Je vais faire marcher la garantie : j'ai acheté le disque dans une boutique d'informatique qui fait aussi du recyclage/occasion ;-) Etant donné que je connais le proprio, il avait accepté de me faire 6 mois de garantie :-)
