[Résolu] Redémarrage impossible après mise à jour

Bonjour,
J'ai un Asus x541u avec Ubuntu 18.04 installé dessus (voir https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=2059936)
Ce matin, il m'a été demandé de redémarrer après les mises à jour.
Depuis, Il m'affiche ce message : Reboot and select proper Boot device or insert Boot media in selected Boot device and press a key.

Après quelques recherches sur le net, j'ai installé boot-repair sur une clé bootable et relancé mon Asus sur cette clé. Après un scan de plusieurs dizaines de minutes (la première fois), il me demande d'utiliser gparted pour créer un "bios-boot partiion >1MB unformatted filesystem, bios_grub flag".

J'ai tenté de lancer gparted mais ça ne s'ouvre pas...

J'imagine que le grub a été touché par la mise à jour ? Comment puis-je restaurer la version avant mise à jour ?

Je précise que c'est mon outil de travail et qu'il n'est pas envisageable de perdre les données qui sont dessus...

Et si je tente d'ouvrir le terminal sur l'USB "Boot-repair", je retrouve les problèmes de PCIe Bus Error qui tournent en boucle et m'obligent à forcer l'extinction... Je pense qu'il faut que j'arrive à re-éditer le grub. Je suis en train de télécharger le live usb d'ubuntu 18.04.5, voir si j'arrive à refaire les manips sur cette version.

Bon, je n'arrive à rien... la session live se lance bien si je modifie le grub avec pci=noaer mais je n'ai pas trouvé l'accès au grub du système installé. J'ai beau appuyer sur Echap ou Shift à l'apparition du logo (sans le live-USB), le seul écran que j'obtiens est "Please select a boot device" et il me propose P1 (le lecteur dvd je crois), P0 (le disque dur Kingston) et "Enter Setup" qui me renvoie sur la page de gestion du Bios.

Après avoir réussi à "créer" (?) un bios_grub flag sur la partition de mon système défectueux à partir de gparted en ouvrant une session live-usb d'Ubuntu 18.04.5 (et non plus de Boot Repair), j'ai relancé le live-usb Boot repair et il a fini par me renvoyer ces infos (sans me proposer de réparer) :

De ce que j'ai compris (mais à confirmer par un autre aidant) :
sda = c'est le disque dur
sdb = c'est la clé USB
---
sda
- sda1 = petite partition qui devrait être en bios_grub --> ext4
- sda2 = partition Ubuntu : devrait être en ext4 --> pas BIOS Boot partition
- sda3 = swap en type swap --> ok

Merci pour la réponse,
je suis donc allé changer le bios_grub en sda1 avec gparted (toujours à l'aide du live-Usb Ubuntu) et en relançant la live-usb Boot-repair, il me propose cette fois de réparer.
Il me dit alors :

il me propose : qui il ?
Il faut juste que tu ajoutes le drapeau "boot" à sda1 --> normalement, tu peux le faire depuis gparted + live CD / live USB.
Après il faut aussi vérifier que la partition respecte le reste : taille, type.

"Il" c'est l'outil de réparation de boot (lancé par la live-usb Boot-Repair au démarrage), j'ai bien mis le flag à sda1 et sda2 est en ext4, j'aimerai comprendre maintenant pourquoi le message me demande de créer une partition ESP au début du disque ? J'ai laissé en veille en attendant mais il faut que je prenne une décision, suis-je sûr de continuer quoi qu'il arrive ? ("are you sure you want to continue anyway") je dis oui ou non ?

Si boot-repair te demande de créer une partition bios-bot, il faut CREER.
D'après cet extrait du boot-info

Tu as transformé la partition contenant ton logiciel en partition bios-boot ce qui n'a jamais été demandé.
Lance donc ton support d'installation,
Lance gparted et supprime le dapeau bios-boot que tu as mis dessus
Puis installes boot-info et fais un rapport boot-info qui sera analysé avant de proposer une réparation
Pense aussi à remettre le drapeau ESP a la partition SDA1

Bonjour et merci pour la réponse,
Je vais installer boot-info et je vous envoie le rapport.
Quand j'ai lancé Boot-repair au début, une fenêtre m'a indiqué que GPT était détecté et qu'il fallait créer une partition Bios-Boot ">1MB unformatted filesystem, bios_grub flag". J'ai cherché sur Gparted et je n'ai pas osé toucher aux partitions pour ne pas perdre mes données, j'ai donc juste mis le drapeau "bios_grub" sur la partition qui contenait le fichier grub (donc la partition principale). Suite au message de jplemoine, j'ai relancé gparted et placé le drapeau bios_grub sur la première partition (sda1).
Du coup, pour l'instant, je ne change pas mes partitions (sauf les drapeaux : ESP à la place de bios_grub pour sda1). J'imagine qu'il va me falloir créer une partition "Bios-Boot" à un moment donné ? Je dois redimensionner sda1 pour ça ? Vous me direz après avoir lu le boot-info, je m'y mets !

J'ai l'impression que la manip sur gparted n'a pas été correctement réalisée... J'ai ouvert "Manage flags" sur sda1 et j'ai coché "esp", ce qui a automatiquement coché "boot", et ceci en mode admin. Puis j'ai lancé et installé boot-info.

M'enfin, j'attends vos instructions avant d'aller plus loin.

Je ne sais pas ce qui s'est passé pendant ta mise à jour, mais ton ordinateur a toujours booté en EFI, il avait donc une partition FAT32 de 512 Mo qui est devenue EXT4 .

Donc tu lances Gparted , Puis tu reformates la partition SDA1 en FAT32, tu lui remets un drapeau ESP (il inclut automatiquement le drapeau boot)

Tu pourras alors relancer la réparation recommandée qui se comportera d'une autre manière en remettant les logiciels manquants en utilisant SDA2

Je vais me lancer dans le reformatage de sda1 et relancer Boot-repair mais je n'ai pas bien saisi la fin de ton message "en remettant les logiciels manquants en utilisant sda2" ? ça consiste en quoi plus précisément ?

Je ne connais pas suffisamment mint pour savoir si c'est normal ou pas. D'autre part, personnellement, je fais en sorte de ne pas avoir cette ligne dans ubuntu afin de ne pas être pollué par le GRUB.
