[RESOLU] Logiciel de mise à jour yoyote...

Bonjour !

Depuis quelques jours je constate différents mauvais fonctionnements avec le logiciel des mises à jour automatiques. Comment puis-je le désactiver ou le désinstaller pour le ré-installer afin de régler le problème ?

Parce que je déteste être dérangée par des demandes de mots de passe pour installation des mises à jour alors que je suis entrain de faire autre chose, je les lance moi-même quotidiennement via le terminal - sans oublier de faire le nettoyage ensuite. Jusqu'à il y a quelques jours, c'était parfait... mais depuis je constate qu'en faisant manuellement ces mises à jour cela n'empêche pas le logiciel de mise à jour d'effectuer des recherches, de m'interrompre dans mes tâches pour me demander si je veux les installer. J'ai alors paramétré le logiciel afin qu'il ne fasse plus des recherches au quotidien (il lui arrivait de lancer plusieurs fois dans la même journée des téléchargements de mises à jour grrr !!), mais tous les 2 jours. Mais malgré cela, ça continue : plusieurs fois dans la même journée, il me demande d'installer des mises à jour !!

Autre souci qui arrive depuis, je lis souvent, lors des mises à jour manuelle, la phrase suivante :

"AppStream cache update completed, but some metadata was ignored due to errors."

Avertissement qui apparaît lors de la recherche de mise à jour suivant celle effectuée par le logiciel et qui disparaît après les commandes suivantes:

sudo apt clean
sudo apt autoclean
sudo apt autoremove

Il faut donc maintenant que je fasse un nettoyage avant d'effectuer une mise à jour et après...
J'ai cherché comment corriger cette erreur et n'ai trouvé comme explication de lancer manuellement sudo apt update et non sudo apt-get update (bref... une solution totalement insatisfaisante)

Avec le PC à ma mère, je m'aperçois aussi que ce logiciel prétend que le système est à jour alors qu'en faisant une recherche manuellement, le système trouve plusieurs dizaines de mises à jour à installer.

Bref, ce logiciel yoyote complètement...

J'ai le même problème depuis quelques mois, mais aujourd'hui impossible de faire la mise à jour, même après avoir fait les nettoyages :
sudo apt clean
sudo apt autoclean
sudo apt autoremove

Il me dit :
La mise à niveau nécessite 114 M d'espace libre au total sur le disque « /boot ». Veuillez libérer au moins 1 400 k d'espace disque sur « /boot ». Videz votre corbeille et supprimez les paquets temporaires des précédentes installations en utilisant « sudo apt-get clean ».

Je suis sur xubuntu

Merci, mais je crains :
1. qu'en sélectionnant "jamais" les liens vers les MAJ ne soient plus efficaces... enfin, dans le sens d'être utilisables.
2. je ne peux pas laisser ma mère (âgée de plus de 80 ans) avec un PC qui ne fera jamais automatiquement les MAJ système... et comme je ne vais sur son PC seulement quand elle m'annonce qu'elle a un problème... je crains qu'en supprimant cette possibilité de MAJ automatiques rende son PC rapidement "obsolète" car "non mis à jour"...

Bonjour,
Si tu es sur la 16.04 et que tu veux des mises à jour automatiques  sans avertissement

Pour les mises à jour de sécurité tu coches dans mises à jour " télécharger et installer automatiquement"
Pour les autres mises à jour , il faut faire quelques petites modifications comme décrites dans ce post , message #7 à message #9

En résumé en supprimant les // des lignes concernées on autorise la mise à jour automatique

Merci. Je viens de regarder, le problème décrit semble identique à celui que connaît ma mère actuellement. Mais la solution apportée n'est malheureusement pas celle qui solutionne le problème. Le problème, ce n'est pas d'être averti ou non de l'installation des mises à jour, c'est que celle-ci s'effectuent réellement sans avoir à passer par le terminal. Or, c'est ce qui arrive actuellement pour le PC à ma mère : le logiciel de MAJ indique que le système est à jour, alors qu'en effectuant une mise à jour à partir du terminal, on découvre que le système est très, très loin d'être à jour!

Et je pense que le problème du PC à ma mère a pour origine le même que le mien, à savoir : le logiciel pour les MAJ yoyote complètement...

OS moi: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
OS ma mère : X-Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Mets le sur serveur principal et redémarre
Ensuite le remettre sur France
Il arrive que ça débloque la situation mais il faut être patient , ce n'est pas une baguette magique!

Je le ferai plus tard, là, j'ai besoin que mon PC reste allumé jusqu'à 21h / 22h encore... donc manip effectuée entièrement, au plus tard, demain matin, avant 8h.
Et ensuite, comment pourrais-je vérifier si cela a bien fonctionné?
Quant à celui de ma mère, là, il faut attendre les congés de Noël...

Ben.. c'était surtout pour celui de ta mère, toi tu sais te  débrouiller  à priori
Pour vérifier on peut consulter  cet historique , qui décrit les interventions du système et de l'utilisateur

cat /var/log/apt/history.log

Pour moi, vu que j'en ai ras-le-bol de lancer aussi les mises à jour à partir de ce logiciel, maintenant, dès que je vois la fenêtre s'ouvrir, je clique sur "Installer ultérieurement". De toute façon, même en l'installant maintenant, quelques heures après, il recommence !! et là, aujourd'hui, je n'ai pas pris la peine de cliquer sur "installer ultérieurement", j'ai fermé la fenêtre, tout simplement, tellement il m'énerve.
Toutefois j'ai regardé si cette commande permettait de vérifier combien de fois par jour le logiciel me propose des mises-à-jour ; non, il ne mentionne que les fois où quelque chose a été installée/désinstallée/supprimée (et il y en a une ribambelle vu que j'ai testé 1 ou 2 logiciels il y a 2-3 jours wink... et qu'étant insatisfaisants, je les ai désinstallés...).

Visible... Invisible... là n'est pas le problème.
Le problème est qu'elles n'ont pas à se faire plusieurs fois dans la journée quand elles sont paramétrées pour se faire 1 fois par jour, et maintenant 1 fois tous les 2 jours

J'avoue ne pas avoir regardé... par contre, si via le terminal nous pouvons vérifier si cela n'affecte pas la qualité des MAJ je me demande si ce style d'erreur n'affecte pas la qualité des MAJ quand celles-ci se font automatiquement, via le logiciel...

Maintenant, il ne reste plus qu'à attendre quelques jours pour savoir si ce problème AppStream est définitivement réglé. Demain je lancerai une MAJ, via le terminal, sans faire de nettoyage au préalable... ainsi je commencerai à voir si ce problème-ci est résolu.

Premiers résultats (je vais attendre encore quelques jours pour vérifier qu'ils sont bien définitifs) :

Après passage sur le "serveur principal" et retour sur les serveurs français, le logiciel des mises à jour n'a plus l'air de yoyoter (je l'ai même paramétré pour qu'il fasse les recherches quotidiennement, comme ça, si un jour je décide de laisser la machine faire ce travail wink)
J'essayerai cette méthode pour le PC à ma mère aussi, à Noël...

Après paramétrage pour que les mises à jour Xenial-backports se fassent automatiquement et passage de la version 0.9.4-1ubuntu1 à 0.10.1-1~ubuntu16.04.1 d'AppStream, l'avertissement semble avoir disparu sans que je fasse, avant de lancer la recherche des MAJ, un nettoyage quelconque. Toutefois, pour ça aussi, j'attendrai quelques jours avant de confirmer que c'est réglé.

Merci à tous pour vous être penchés sur mon petit problème et plus spécialement à remp et ylag pour vos solutions qui semblent les avoir réglés !
